I just wanted to share my experience with Tata Consultancy , they called me asking if I was interested in joining, I said sure if, they compensated me well. I asked for 7+ lpa than my current CTC, they said fine.They took one interview and asked me to upload documents after that, stating that I have been shortlisted.
Now they called me for the HR discussion and then told me that the budget is less than 7lpa compared to my current CTC.
I mean, WTH.
They sometimes only wanna close open position at available CTC. So they initiated process, it's normal day for them. Don't burn yourself emotionally, add TCS as Stock, will give better return than all this.
Same thing happened with me. In the end they said we can offer you 50% of your current salary.
What to say man. The only good thing was they only took 1 round for me. And said they will connect with me once they have project with the same budget.
And I did got a callback after 2-3 days from tata digital for tata neu project.
The same thing happened to me, the HR offered me 15% hike even I mentioned multiple times that I am currently holding 70% hike in every interaction with recruitment team. I don't know why they said okay all the time if they don't have enough budget for the role.
I faced something similar
I also got the selection mail
Uploaded all the documents and got them verified as well and then HR stopped taking my calls. Then after one month HR called and said you're above our budget, Sorry we can't roll out the offer
But i heard they even gave 35+ to 14 years experience. But in my case i got 30% hike and that to they stop giving 1st year hike to laterals.i joined 7th Apr 21 and my next hike will be on Apr 23.
As i am a interview panelist , i have noticed they shortlist very average , below avg , mostly from tire 2 cities resources .No idea what their strategy for not giving good salary.
You are working in walmart and looking for a change to TCS. I mean WTH. They can’t even match half of your current compensation.
