I recently received an offer from PWC India, Kolkata Loc. Role is Senior Associate.

Got to know about their rating system (R1 to R5, Default R3).

My current org is Infosys. Here the default is ME, equivalent to R3.

My question is what annual hike can I expect in R3 rating. In ME in infosys we are getting 3% to 5% in general (Only when Hike is announced).

Is it similar in PwC also.

Im current at EY in a consulting group that does not focus on deals, but have completed few due diligence type engagements. We focus mostly on ODD (Operational Due Diligence) for private equity firms. I really want to make it into IB. I have an interview for a Valuation and Opinions Role. Would that help in transitioning in as an IB Analyst? I would have a substantial pay cut (100K to 85K - excluding bonus). My current experience has not been seen as valuable by recruiters.

I need help with my interviewing skills

Is it really that difficult to get hired for a federal job? I was interviewed for a GS12 job but never heard back, they still didn’t hire anyone and I didn’t get a rejection. I applied for another GS07 job, was accepted, I took it, but I believe I can do better. I have a master’s and have extra graduate research experience. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?
