Java Developer here! I am slogging in my current company. Too much work pressure and I've received peanuts in the name of appraisal. That too when the company is doing well. Added two U.S. clients this year on top of existing clients. So, trying to switch.

Recently, interviewed at Publicis Sapient. Received an offer for 22 LPA, trying to reach 30 LPA in the next 2 years. Would it be possible? I've heard there are frequent appraisals.

If a job tells you the base salary range for a position is $95k to $110k, how much more can you realistically ask for? Does anyone have an experience where they negotiated a salary over the initial salary range max?

I am considering an offer for an AE role (UK-LDN) where the base is £42k & OTE is £70k. The Regional GM has verbally promised to move it up to £50k base if I perform well during the probationary period, but I can’t have it in writing on the contract. I’ve tried to counter offer but they said I’m currently maxing the salary band (L4). This role is exciting as I’d be the first UK employee, doing the full sales cycle & more but I had the same base and ote as an SDR. Is it too low? Do I take it?

Technology-Microsoft Dynamics 365(I am a functional consultant in SCM and HR; Relevant exp: 3 yrs & Total exp: 4 yrs).
My interviews in IBM are done and I am waiting for the salary discussion with HR.

Incoming AC at Bain, previously was deciding between Bain and McKinsey. But, ultimately chose Bain for the culture despite McKinsey being aligned with my professional goals of working in the government. I was looking on LinkedIn and didn’t find many people who are working in the White House after Bain, but found countless examples for McKinsey. Would it be difficult to try to transition to working in government after a few years at Bain? Any thoughts?
