Do you reply how much you earn? To me it seems absolutely inappropriate and irrelevant. I can respond what are my future salary expectations. I refuse to tell how much I make now, and then recruiters say that they can't proceed with my application without this information. WDYT?

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? Hi All, I have cleared all rounds for GSK and am being offered grade 7, and HR Hasn’t released the offer yet and asking my expectations. He hasn’t given me the full range. I have 9 + years of exp, and CCTC is 20.7 fixed, last year I got 40% bonus on top of my CTC. What is the range which GSK can offer for grade 7? And will it offer 7a or 7b or anything else? I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work.
