Hi guys - what has been anybody's experience transitioning from HR to CSM? I'm beginning to feel the burn out from the revolving door of putting our fires in the world of HR, with a huge lacking in the *human* aspect of it all. It's beginning to feel unrewarding and the corporate politics are exhausting. I love the relationship-building, problem-solving and client satisfaction of the CSM world. Has anybody found it difficult to pivot into?

From what I know about CSMs, you’d probably enjoy having more say in outcomes. You get to be proactive instead of trying to fix after the fact. Different pace, and you are now dealing with revenue vs. internal issues, but something that could be a good move.

Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.

TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)

TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)

Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

I am a Chartered accountant and truth be told given the current times CA is a really low incentive education any potent person can get. I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Thus far, he’s landed interviews with (all in Houston): Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, Kirkland, Winston Strawn, Reed Smith, Norton Rose, and Locke Lord. Also Perkins Coie in Dallas. He’s leaning transactional, but also open to litigation. Any insights/advice on these firms in the TX market? Any to avoid?
