Currently at BNY Mellon with 10 YOE, specifically in Corporate Trust working CLO/CDO’s (first job out of college). I’ve moved around within the bank a few times but I’m just not happy here nor am I where I want to be in terms of comp . I resigned Today from my current employer for a different offer.

I discussed with my lead , he said if you really want to leave then prepare a good reason and leave on good terms, management will try to give lucrative offers so that you stay.


What are some safe resignation reasons to give so that
they cannot counter it and it looks genuine and safe as well.
I do not want to say that I am leaving because I am getting another offer.

I prepared a presentation for an interview with a sales leader, it went well and I was offered a final interview with regional manager. The sales leader I interviewed with gave me a bunch of feedback, but said to find out information about tech stack, which I for some reason, didn’t consider. I come to find out that deep, hidden within the website of the hypothetical client, they use the service already. My interview with Microsoft for SE2 was scheduled and cancelled a day before. Neither I received any email regarding cancellation nor the recruiter informed me. Two days later I got an email saying Microsoft is freezing hiring for certain departments and the recruiter is ghosting me. Will I even get a chance to interview atleast?
