Forcing me to use my standing desk

Currently at one of the Big 3 Japanese banks (MUFG, Mizuho, SMBC) in debt capital markets and might have an opportunity to join the Capital Markets team at Wells Fargo (all in London). What are the thoughts reputationally on WF vs the Japanese banks in EMEA? Also if anyone has any insight into promotions (ability to go up the ranks faster in WF) and salary what would be super helpful! Wells Fargo Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc.

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Can I get a job that I can relocate me and I will sponsor
I was called 2 days later but the hiring manager asking to see what my interest was as they would like me for the role and I said yes I was interested and if they could send me on an offer and we could talk. They messaged me that night said they were onto corporate but things were positive so she’d be onto me mid next week. (Bear in mind in the interview I said finances would be coming into play as I would have to take a hit to rent somewhere up there, it’s also not an attractive part of the country to work. As far as I know there were multiple other candidates for the interview)
There are other considerations besides pay. Would you like working there, are there other employees easy to get along with, do they have good benefits, time off, would they pay for relocation, are they willing to put in the offer letter that they will consider you for management in x number of years? Could they pay a sign on bonus instead of higher comp? Or contribute more to your 401k, give you more PTO, anything of value that could help with the lower salary?
It would technically be 10K more but much less salary monthly due to rent costs and housing crisis
Does the area have other roles you would consider if you move and this role doesn’t work out? I would be wary of moving for the one role and not having prospects of other roles in the area.
