Well unless you're the reason for her pregnancy then I'd say you deserve that raise. You're taking up her work and even if it's just few months it's still extra work...so you gotta ask for a raise.
Ask for either a raise or a one-time bonus paid out during the time your colleague is gone. Your employee won’t like having to pay you both at the same time, but they’d likely rather have you around than having to hire someone new.
I think a one-time bonus would make more sense, depending on how long she'll be out. If she'll be gone for a year or more, I would ask for a raise. If she's just leaving for the last 2-3 months of her pregnancy and a few weeks after birth, I would ask for a one-time bonus. You're not the reason she's gone, but it's also not a permanent responsibility change.
