MERN Stack or Java , which has better job opportunities and growth ?

Serious question… if I am interested in becoming a CTO/CDO one day, what should I do for the next 5-8 years to prepare for this? Are there specific roles in tech that prepares you for a CTO role? I am currently in sales engineering with over a decade in consulting experience.

Has anyone ever thought of switching out of accounting and pursuing another career? If so, which career? Did you pursue it or stay in accounting?

Team just applied for a TS Clearance (defense agency). Trying to assess if it makes sense to wait till the clearance comes through (6 months to a year?) before I job hop. I'm hoping to get some clarity on the following:
1. Can my company withdraw or cancel my clearance if I leave right after I secure a TS?
2. In terms of compensation, how much value (% compensation) does a TS clearance have in the DC area? Places I'm considering: AWS, Azure, GCP, Data bricks, Appian etc.

It's been almost 2 weeks after giving the IBM interview and I've not received the offer letter yet. Everytime I call, the HR says, "it should come today or tomorrow. Your offer is already approved blah blah". Is this normal?
