So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

There was salary cut surely but everything was reimbursed as soon as situations were getting alright. No layoffs until the employee itself was rejecting too many proposals or wasnt getting selected or was having a poor tech stack which might be of no use at that time ( this was during corona only ) . Why do you think people were joining nagarro just after covid ?
Bahot log milenge afwah failane wale without telling u the reason of actually being sacked off even if they were /even if they were not.
I too understand topics like these make u scared i too get scared sometimes but pls dear friend when u ask questions like these you have to be very carefull to differentiate between afwah and actual truth.

If you are confident about pay cuts, we agree with you. But still it's far better than layoffs
Nagarro has history of layoff during 2020. I was also a part of that. I didn’t get even a single project client interview call as it was starting phase of covid. They did salary cut stating that there won’t be any layoff and also laid off people during these times. I remember my colleagues calling me after 6 months of my exit that he has also been laid off.
React Native for me & Native Android for him. Both were around 9YOE.

How long you have been there ?
No layoffs. Salary cuts, that too graded based on the seniority. Senior people took larger pay cuts. A large part of the pay cuts has been returned too.
