Could you help me understand what a media planner is? Would you be interested in media startups?

Cool. Could you shoot me your resume (DM for my email)? I know some interesting startups that were funded by pretty well-known VCs (500, etc.) and know the founders personally.

Sure! I plan, manage, execute and report digital campaigns for clients. So if you were selling toothpaste, I’d be the one to create a plan on which vendors to work with, get them the creative and report on the performance.

How do you deal with a manager / junior partner who is always nitpicking and questioning why you did what you did, or telling you what you did is the wrong way to do things? It’s generally prefaced with them only doing this to help you grow, but has the exact opposite effect on me. And then when you try to explain your POV, you’re tagged as being defensive. Generally ends me with saying I’m sorry. No other partners at the firm have ever raised any concerns on my communications or work product.

Thanks for starting this bowl. I am fairly new to fishbowl and I would consider myself a non-traditional candidate for consulting, looking to pivot out of industry. Would love to get some help and be mentored on how I could make this happen?

Anyone pivoted from consulting into the aerospace/defense sector as an engineer?

Didn't end up making the cut in Strategy consulting case interviews. Would really like to do strategy / S&O some day. I love using data to inform decision-making.

Wondering if it would make sense to continue consulting in implementation then try to pivot again in the future or at another level - or drop consulting & try to get a strategy job at a startup or maybe do something else at a larger company and try to pivot internally.

Background is tech + MBA. Any insight appreciated!

Hello, I have left consulting career to build a portfolio of careers. I am a founder of Life Startup, we do future workforce and employee wellbeing as well as work with individuals helping them design their next chapter in life. I'm also a yoga teacher and an artist.

I've never been more fulfilled in my life and my purpose is to share this with as many unfulfilled and potentially burnt out consultants and professionals out there.

If you are looking for a change, DM me, I'll be happy to chat!

Going to try for the bootcamp path. But, would love to speak to some SWEs. I think 70% of my network is lawyers.
