Hi All - I have been in financial services consulting at Guidehouse for almost 8 years and am looking to make a change.
My top choice would be to jump into project management or content strategy / planning at Sony Corporation / SIE / PlayStation. This is something I am extremely passionate about and believe I can bring value to.
Is anyone at Sony PlayStation currently or do they know anyone at Sony PlayStation that is open to putting me in the referral pipeline? Happy to connect and discuss.

In theory, former. In practice, probably a mix of both leaning towards the former - largely function of case pipeline and labor constraints.

The minimum bar is supposed to be the same everywhere. It can be higher in offices that are more competitive (Eg SF, NYC)
Answer to your question provides you with ZERO insights into how to nail an interview.

Bar is theoretically the same at any location to get into the firm and once you pass said bar in an interview you get an offer.
Some office locations and/or regions are more “competitive” than others as there are headcount numbers the firm looks to have at specific areas to meet pipeline demand (ie for the NYC office you have to consider there are people already in the firm looking to transfer to said office + new hires who set NYC as their #1 office).
