Orientation went well today! I officially start tomorrow! Its a good thing we're still in slow season for another month or so, atleast they can get me trained up and going so once we get in the full swing of things I'll really beable to hammer down! This is a type of cuisine I havent done before but I know it's going to work out great!
Good for you!! I usually just call someone or send A resume' to one person and get hired. My resume is a book in itself. worked for 32 YEARS at the same establishment. started 2 weeks before opening...and just kept on working..learning new areas till I knew EVERY position. I have worked over 40 hours at each and every restauaunt position, started with one restaurant...built it up to 5...then the partners split up and i was on the curb...worked 7 jobs in 3 years... trying to find a good fit. Finally landed a better paying gig...now 6 years have gone by and my position at the restaurant I was working at...vanished, so me and about 15 other employees. POW kicked to the curb again...and again NO FAULT of my own. I think I have a job now...I am onboarding with 2 different jobs right now, so untill I am getting paid for both of them...I will keep doing the unemployment...which I started WAY late. But I honestly thought i would get a job when i needed one. I have sent off SO MANY resume's, filled out so many appications 50 years in the kitchen / restaurant what do I get? B/S
