Highly project dependent. I have worked some weekends though it’s the exception rather than the norm. During the week you’ll probably do 60-80 hours depending on your workload.
Pro
Haven’t worked weekends much, but it’s not great during the week. Currently project 8/830 to 1230/1
K1/2/3 Is the $ or job satisfaction worth it? I imagine my work is slightly less stimulating and pay is slightly less, but it is rare that I have to work those kinds of hours. Just genuinely curious.
K3 - Out of curiosity, what level are you (if you’d be willing to share)?
Yes - it’s worth it to me. C-Suite and Board level topics. Competitive pay. Fast promotions. I plan to stay for the long haul (Manager currently).
In the US, if you come in as an Associate, probably 2-3 years to Manager. Then another 3-4 to Principal. And then finally partner election has a wide range and a bit hard to put a timeline on. Depends a lot on your performance honestly.
