Remember you can’t bounce after the project like we can in consulting :)
C1 I think your undying love for consulting probably puts you in the minority
WHY do you want to work for the client as an industry employee instead of a consultant? Do you love what you're doing?!?
Independence still applies to you as an analyst. If you plan to pursue this, either roll off the project first or let leadership know to prevent any independence issues.
You might be low enough that it is not a big deal
Client is a pretty big company and I’m sure most people would jump at the opportunity to work for them. My management is amazing though and bends over backwards for me, I’m at crossroads right now lol.
Really??? I started my own consulting company THEN went to work for a Fortune 500 company AND clearly now along with all your other 🐠🐠🐠 am working for a consulting firm. Growing and learning along the way. There's NO company I personally would jump for. None.
I mean if #ThePriceIsRight, maybe... But I don't have a wish list of companies. Maybe a #WishList of roles or projects BUT NOT companies I would leave consulting for

Also the undying love of hashtags and caps lock...
Let management know
Why is industry seen as so bad??? I don't get the consulting ego
I wouldn’t jump as an analyst - you’ll be getting peasant work at any function within that company - get your accelerated growth and jump to another consulting firm; consider industry after manager or else your salary won’t be at large down the line
You're fine, ridiculous amount of employee protection*
I really want to pursue the option as it would be very stupid of me not to take it, but i want some opinions on what could happen as I’d still technically be working on the same project just with the client directly instead of my firm
In California, you're find, ridiculous about of employee protection. Non-competes aren't enforceable
Client is losing lot of money by having to pay for OP to his firm. This is a good situation to be in for OP. Sometimes people resist the initial offer and jump only when they get more better offer( I am assuming the project is running for years) . Hope you are getting lots of bump in salary. Once offered then discuss with your manager and see what does he gave to say... he can do counter offer and if he is a genuine fellow he may advise whether its good or bad for you.
How far down the path are you? Has the client explained the role and provided comp details? If you are serious and interested it is in your best interest to discuss with project leadership. They can help navigate this decision. If it’s a larger client they likely won’t pursue any non compete clauses. Do think this through, this is the first of many many offers that will come your way in consulting.
