Because Musk didn’t exercise stock options personally in a particular year that doesn’t mean the corporation didn’t pay a whole assortment of taxes. That’s a totally different thing. As I said previous I haven’t invested any self directed money toward Musk because his extremely high risk extremely high reward isn’t my thing. I will continue to invest in Brk.b probably well beyond Mr Buffets life span.
Economics 101. Musk does not have trillions of dollars sitting in the bank for him to use. Please do your homework regarding companies that “go public” meaning the stock is bought and sold on a trading exchange.
There’s a risk vs reward factor to most things, but unfortunately most people are not willing to take the risk or make the sacrifice to improve their lives in some way if need be.

Musk has paid between zero and 11 Billion in a one year span. Depending on the capital gains for that year. Stock options tend to drive capital gains for many CEO’s

True. It's not like he has a trillion dollars sitting back in a vault somewhere. His net worth is tied to stock in several companies.
