How are we all feeling now that the world has its first trillionaire? As a teacher I will feel lucky if I eventually hit millionaire 😂

It’s not me so the world hasn’t changed. I’m doing ok for retirement, maybe with a net worth of half mil at that point.

I think if you're happy with where you're at then that's the most important thing.

No different.

Hopefully that's a "good" no different!

Because Musk didn’t exercise stock options personally in a particular year that doesn’t mean the corporation didn’t pay a whole assortment of taxes. That’s a totally different thing. As I said previous I haven’t invested any self directed money toward Musk because his extremely high risk extremely high reward isn’t my thing. I will continue to invest in Brk.b probably well beyond Mr Buffets life span.

Economics 101. Musk does not have trillions of dollars sitting in the bank for him to use. Please do your homework regarding companies that “go public” meaning the stock is bought and sold on a trading exchange.

There’s a risk vs reward factor to most things, but unfortunately most people are not willing to take the risk or make the sacrifice to improve their lives in some way if need be.

I really wish our wages would catch up with reality. Oh well, maybe someday.

Musk has paid between zero and 11 Billion in a one year span. Depending on the capital gains for that year. Stock options tend to drive capital gains for many CEO’s

True. It's not like he has a trillion dollars sitting back in a vault somewhere. His net worth is tied to stock in several companies.

Doesn't affect my life

I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.

Does anyone who switched from consulting to product management have any recommendations of h helpful PM books, courses, or programs?
