Yes it’s so great to kill millions of children so that we can have circuit parties… no other perspective but that of the cis white G is to be heard…
Plenty of substance there, D1. It’s clearly answering the question. You just don’t like the answer.

Just a reminder that you don’t get to choose where you’re born. I was fortunate enough to be born in the US. If I was born in Palestine, would my life not matter because leaders where I’m from do not think I deserve rights? This is not a great take. Civilians are dying because of a history no one wants to take accountability for. I have not seen a lot of humanity in this situation at all. This isn’t about taking sides, it’s about having empathy toward other humans who have been forced into a nightmare.
Being against genocide is my guiding principle. And that stance is anti-Netanyahu not supporting Hamas
What's the frequency? Whatever Hamas says.
You say that as if there aren’t queer Palestinians. Palestinians can’t worry about queer liberation because they are currently focused on staying alive.

Yes the gov that was elected like 20 years ago is bad therefore kids sheltering in makeshift tents deserve to be bombed?
Kids,
the stated goal of Hamas and Hezbollah is the extermination of all Jews. THAT'S your genocide. Defending yourself after a blatant attack, during a ceasefire, isn't genocide. Hamas can't defeat Israel toe-to-toe, so they engage in Information Warfare. They have to convince the rest of the world to hate the Jews by lying to the ignorant about genocide, being starved, and kids killed. The reality is that Hamas stores weapons in civilian homes, schools, and hospitals. That's a war crime. But hating Jews is more popular and Hamas always plays the victim, so the people in the world who value perpetual victimhood (gays, leftists, etc) side with the Shariah Arabs. Israel warns of their attacks. Hamas doesn't. Israel builds bakeries and food banks in Gaza. Hamas not only doesn't do that, but they steal the food to further the illusion of victimhood. Israel has the moral high ground. The antisemitic UN, ICC, and leftists swayed by the propaganda do not.
Bullshit!
lgbtq people in gaza are more likely to be killed by israel right now for being palestinian than by hamas for being queer.
also, the existence of pride celebrations does not erase the insane amount of homophobia in israel too.
unfortunately for us all, it’s not even possible to look up how many palestinians have died in gaza anymore. since all the hospitals and other government offices that track birth and death statistics were destroyed months ago. which stalled the death count at the nebulous 30-40k which everyone has been stuck citing since december.
I have a theory about this OP. Essentially, the ”queers for Palestine” movement, along with feminists for Palestine—take your pick—really has nothing to do with Palestine at all. All of these movements are essentially Marxian. It isn’t about Palestine. It is a hatred of Western civilization and capitalism. It has nothing to do with Palestine, Muslims, Jews, Israel, etc. it is the “loony left” finding a cause célebre to push it agenda—with which, as an anarcho-capitalist—I vehemently disagree.
So says the filthy rich capitalist Principal while the rest of us fight for scraps….
The trouble with questions like this, is that it isn't really a question seeking perspectives from others, it's a statement that's designed to be inflammatory and divisive. There's no room for nuance or seeking a space where people come together.
Some people will celebrate Israel, others will condemn it.
Some people will celebrate Palestine, others will condemn it.
It's very unlikely that whatever you say in this forum is going change those perspectives.
What will happen is that reams of text will be written that just encourage people to entrench their positions, leaving less room for any compromise to be found in the future.
I don’t support innocent people being killed. It doesn’t matter if they respect me or not. My respect for innocent lives is unconditional. I do see Hammas as villain who chose to buy weapons instead of providing development for their people. But Israel cannot do the same and become a villain too. Killing civilians is not self defense.
This!

So much evil on both sides....
There is nuance, my friend. I absolutely and totally abhor the killing of thousands of children and innocent civilians.
I also feel discomfort with the complete demonization of the only country in the region that shows some respect towards queer people and democracy in general.
Of course
There’s no same-sex marriage in Israel and hate crimes against LGBTQ people happen. Regardless of your thoughts on the war (which does absolutely include LGBTQ people on both sides), it’s absolutely pinkwashing to pretend that LGBTQ rights in Israel are more robust than they really are.
Don't generalize, I'm not white and I agree with OP.
Sooo a Zionist?
Right. Cause right now, the only who is actually killing queer people is ISRAEL, not Palestine
For me, I think not being able to travel to those areas safely doesn’t mean that I should wish death upon the people who live there. People are not their government. Just like I wish to be seen for more than just my sexuality, I see them as more than their government’s or their own homophobia.
LGBTQ rights doesn’t mean we look the other way from Israel’s ongoing atrocities/war crimes. Try not to be so self obsessed.
No one deserves to live in fear of dying or death to family no one deserves to be stuck in war you didint create
