Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.
Hello Fishes,
I have got an offer at Wells Fargo for the role Technology Business Systems Consultant and my total YOE is 4.8 into Testing (Manual and Automation)
Is this role relevant to my experience or is it a role for much experienced person than me?
Any idea or information that what is the pay usually offered for this position?
Please provide your thoughts and suggest whether I should change 1. My role or 2. Request for more pay
Thanks in Advance!Wells Fargo

Hi! I’m a UX bootcampee who completed the course in Oct 2020 and landed my first job in Apr 2021! Most of that time I spent annoyingly on my portfolio (don’t do this but I think regardless of what I say, it’s something all junior designers are going to have to go through 🫠). After working on my portfolio, I applied to companies that I felt matched me as a designer. I probably only applied to 8-10 jobs total before accepting my first offer. 1 year later and I’m still at my current place and enjoying it. Let me know if you have any more questions!
How did you find those roles and how did you contact them?
I’ve applied to probably 200 in the last 2 months, mostly through online job boards but also reaching out to recruiters for those roles and following up with emails. Also a few I’ve had in-house referrals. I’ve gotten 2 interviews, both in the first 2 weeks of my job search, and it’s been nothing since then.
I’m thinking of stepping back and spending more time on my portfolio.
I’m curious about this too!
What UX bootcamp is recommended?
It took me 3 weeks after I graduated
