Can I apply infosys after 6 months after rejecting their offer ? Should I use a new Email ID?
N.B.

I regret it a little bit but then remember I would hate sitting at a computer and coding for a lot of the day.
I’m not sure why people think data engineers / programmers don’t talk to clients or people. Successful development requires an in-depth understanding of the problem you are solving for - it’s not just ripping through code from a backlog. You need to know the before and after parts of the middle you’re creating or nothing will work - that requires a lot of people interaction.
I regret not marrying rich. Has nothing to do with software, but just saying.

Nope, you can always learn. I was a management and leadership major, but ended up learning how to code. It’s actually lots of fun.
I feel the same way about investment banking too. But you can’t live in the past so just enjoy what you have and move forward. That’s how people deal with it. Plus you’ll eventually make more than them, even if you stay at McKinsey forever
Makes sense. 👍🏻
I think I regret not being a lawyer
Definitely glad I switched to consulting

Do you really want to code all day like a robot? You have to live in that world, don't forget. I think consulting is a better mix of analytical and human interaction. Plus you can always learn to code for fun while keeping your job and do projects on the side if you want. Also, compare yourself against the entire population, not just tech guys, and you will feel much better.
Yes, i do. Because in tech my work hours are 8 hours a day, and i can go out and have a hobby while making tons of money. In consulting its 12 hours plus for less money. So yes i do actually

Do consultant all think the the only thing compsci people do is look at the screen for 8 hours a day?
My bf works as a software engineer and he definately has a lot of people interaction - maybe like 40% of his day..
It’s a bubble
Yeah, technology is going away soon so we don't need that many software engineers. A1 knows 😄

I have a PhD in computer science and I quit a big tech job to be a consultant. Being a dev isn’t for everyone. I make more money now doing this too (though before I made partner I certainly would have made more staying where I was).
Not just the money, the WLB. I know people working cushy 40 hour weeks and making 130-150 just out of undergrad
