I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Hi Fishes,
Anyone here at Luxoft with permanent remote ? I got an offer. Will they ask to come to office at any point ? What about job security at Luxoft ? HR mentioned 8 hours per day and no need to enter timesheet, time will be auto captured. That means like we can't be away from the system at all ? Please help.
Thanks

He will never get back to me! How do you guys usually answer them without revealing your current salary. He didn’t even tell me his range when I asked, he just wanted to find out what I want lol
For one, how is this recruiter getting your TC info?
I usually work it like this: I make $X, but know others in a similar role make $X + $10k. So I tell the recruiter I make $X + 10k. I then say of course there has to be a bump in pay to consider moving, and I'd like to see at least 15% more.
My response is usually “I don’t share that info”. They usually respond “I need to make sure we’re in the same ballpark” or something along those lines. I usually respond with “what’s the range for this position”. And if they say something like “we don’t share that info” then it’s a mystery until you get to offer stage. Mostly good recruiters will give you a range at least though (in my exp.)
I thought it’s not legal for recruiters to ask that question nowadays?
Some states have made it illegal to ask what you make now, but thry can always ask what a candidate would like to make in their next job.
