Hii Guys, Could anyone give me some clarity on the below point. I have cleared 2nd round of technical interview at Deloitte, but my candidature is still showing as interview in progress at Deloitte careers page. I had a discussion with HR on this and she told me that next process is pending from management side. It's been almost 10 days since from 2 nd round of interview. How much more time does it gonna take, any idea? Or is it normal. Please help me with this 🙏🙏 .Deloitte

Making a CD do an assignment tells you they have no idea how to look at a portfolio. Ridiculous.
Good for you! I wouldn’t do it.
Yeah hard pass. I find this tends to be asked by smaller startup types who don’t understand how freelancing works in the agency world, or they’re used to giving these tests to engineers.
I decline them and move on. Not worth your time and also is a red flag that they will likely A/B test every single piece of creative versus making any actual creative decisions.
The strange thing was they said they were really excited by the work. I said, ok, then book me for 2 week and if you like me, keep me around.
So weird
I’d send them my book again and say here’s the answer to your test.
Huge red flag. Even if they deemed you worthy of their briefs, doing work for them would be a nightmare. Hopefully the shift in the marketplace will drum these tests out of existence.
Never do work for free or a reduced rate. Agencies are taking advantage of you and are essentially saying they don’t trust you. Or they will steal your ideas for free, which happens all the time. Tests are a terrible practice and need to stop.
A test for freelance seems especially weird because agencies have the option of firing freelancers if things go south. By its very nature, freelance is a no-strings, work-for-hire arrangement.
One more thought: freelance is “try before you buy.” A test for freelance is “try before you try before you buy.” It doesn’t make sense.
So true, it just made me feel icky and didn’t make sense. Especially didn’t add up when they were so keen on me too. Just bizarre.
