You don’t always need to fly by the seat of your pants. It can be good to have checklists and SOP’s.
Hey AA. Did something specific happen or was this a slow creep? We have all been there. You can get past it. Just wondering about your current situation.
You are magnifying the negative experiences, disqualifying positive experiences, work you have done well, engaged in automatic thoughts, regurgitating the negative emotions and experiences. Remember all the accomplishments that have gotten you where you are. Yes, take a break. Do whatever will revitalize you. Maybe counseling. You are where you are because you have succeeded in life.
It is paralyzing. No question about it. You lose your confidence when you are so worn out and worn down that you no longer possess the strength that forms the foundation for that confidence to be built upon. Take some time to rest, reflect, recharge, and rebuild yourself. The stronger you become physically and emotionally, the more rested and restless you become from taking some time off, the sooner the return of your confidence and the desire to get back in the game.
You just have to move on to the next thing. Maybe reach out to a colleage or co worker and ask them to look over what you have until you gain confidence back.
I noticed you seemed a bit unsure while handling the task, and that’s completely normal especially when things don’t go as planned. It doesn’t take away from your ability or potential. You’ve done well in similar situations before, and that’s proof you’re capable.
I think breaking the task into smaller steps and taking it one stage at a time will help rebuild your confidence. Also, don’t be too hard on yourself—use this as a learning experience, not a judgment. With a bit of practice and consistency, I’m confident you’ll bounce back even stronger.
I assume so A3. First sentence “I noticed” and “unsure handling the task” seem to give it away.
