I can say with 100% confidence leaving bedside does not limit future options. Having variety on my resume has actually been commented on (favorably) in the past with hiring managers and often the reason I was the candidate selected. Think about NOW, what you are needing/wanting NOW and make a decision from there. You can always go back to bedside - IF you want to.
I don't think it's as big of a deal as you think it is. You still have your skills, and in fact, you're expanding them. I know a lot of people who left bedside and ended up going back with no issues.
I agree with RN 1. I took a role in outpatient, and it has not limited any future options. Nurses are in major need right now. Do what is best for you—your options aren't going to change.
