I don’t understand this post. You’re not in the US so how should we know if this is good enough for your long term retirement plans ? Might be plenty in country A but barely enough in country B.

What do you mean by investing? Is that all 401k/IRA/HSA? Or in addition to?

Very strong. Keep on doing it and you will have a very good retirement.
Hoping your company offers a 401 k match and you are taking advantage of that free money.

Addition to. Maxing my 401k equivalent ( not in us) of 6% base salary

Sounds pretty solid to me. And if you're living on $120k/year, that means you won't need much (relative to current income) to retire. Either you'll have plenty of money come retirement or you can retire early.

What causes a coin to suddenly spike 100%+ in value in a matter of hours? I mean how does demand collectively sky rocket - seems unlikely that so many people would have a coordinated buy?

It means ICOs are no longer open to anyone. You have to be a certified investor with the SEC. This is why Filecoin is conducting their ICO with CoinList instead of on their own. CoinList ensures their ICO is only open to certified Wall Street investors and makes sure FileCoin's ICO is treated as a normal IPO.

Granted please correct me because IPO investing is something I don't know a ton about.

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.

Is there a calculator that I can put in all my investments and see how it works out in 50 years? I know each brokerage has their own projection thing, but just wondering if there are any other tools where i could combine everything?

Hello - I transferred offices this year between two states. I changed my address in workday in mid June and my work location was updated to my new state in August 1. I was withheld by both states for 3 pay periods (the six weeks) in between those days. So now my W-2 shows two state taxable wages that (when added) is higher than my total wages. How do I treat this when filing my state tax return? Do I just go by the date of my move and then manually lower one of the state reported wages?

Hello all!

Am I correct in my understanding that:

Over a certain income ($76k as of 2021), a single person CANNOT make tax-free contributions to a traditional IRA if you have a workplace retirement plan?

In my example, I have a work 401k, and my adjusted gross income is over (or just about hovering) at the 76k limit. This means I can't make pre-tax contributions to a traditional IRA, so I should just go for a Roth?

26 y/o and a total investment newbie.

I have $100k from an annuity invested with Schwab and managed by a brokerage firm. My parents set me all up with this when I got access to the funds at age 21. So I’m not sure of the complete breakdown other than the fact that it’s diversified according to my tolerance for risk

Now, I also have $25k liquid cash I’d like to do something with. Should I just add it to the existing portfolio, or create a separate, self-managed account?
