We still have days off!
Rising Star
A lot of my students like to challenge each other (and me) to NitroType challenges.
We also still get days off! Does flexible instruction day just mean that you have to teach from home if there is bad weather? That's awful! Snow days were the best part of growing up!

I can still remember our snow days. They were the highlight of winter world. All the neighborhood kids would get out and play together. Kids today miss out on so much.

Any days we have off for weather are E-learning Days. Teachers are expected to be available online, and have to have something for students to work on.
I miss those snow days! There's something so cozy about getting a surprise day off. Flexible Instruction Days are practical, but there's less excitement when you don’t get to enjoy the snow.

Last time I tried to hype some of students to make snow ice remember, snow angels or something
I can’t imagine having to still teach virtually on snow days! It took me about 2 hours to shovel my driveway the other day and another chunk of time to make paths for my dogs to run around/have space to use the bathroom in the backyard earlier this week. Lake effect is no joke! My husband is an accountant, so he can work from home when the snow is wild. That leaves me to make sure all the snow stuff around the house is taken care of. I would for sure give a lot of pushback if my district wanted to do virtual instruction on snow days. Please don’t make me work when I get multiple feet of snow dumped on me 🤣

I cannot imagine having to clean up that much snow. We don't get snow days anymore, because any day that is snowy/icy turns into an eLearning Day.
We get days off

You are lucky, we don't get days off for weather. 🫥
Our first three days will be eLearning days, which are not all day instruction days. After that, we will use built-in flex days. So our students, and staff, will have snow days...if needed.

What are Flex Days? I've seen it on here a few times, but we do not have anything named Flex Days
