Is MBB hiring right now ?
I have interview scheduled and completed from Commonwealth Bank Bangalore location. All technical rounds cleared.
When I called HR i got a surprise answer..
They mentioned the position which I have intervied is different than the salary rem ranges. And my current salary is higher than position what they have got and asked for approval for rem ranges changes..
Is any one faced this? Ideally HR should know expectation and allocation before scheduling intervjew..

Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

I personally love them but anyone taking one of those roles needs to be comfortable in ambiguity and shaping things because if it’s brand new, there is no playbook. It’s also important to ensure expectations are super clear as a result
That's how I got my first paid pos in awhile. It only lasted five months though. It was a great experience overall!
They're a gamble. Maybe you'll get to do something you genuinely come to enjoy. More likely you'll become the person they throw random tasks at because no one knows what you actually do. 0/2 is a trend worth paying attention to. I'd also add that if these are built around repetitive tasks, you should be even more leery. That's the sort of thing companies are using AI for at scale. If there's any way for them to be automated, they will be, and you'll be out of a job.
It's good to be wary of positions like that, as anything could happen once things get rolling. I'm sure some newly created positions work out well for people, but there probably has to be some awareness of setting boundaries. If you can get a detailed job description before accepting an offer that would be highly advisable.
Exciting but I’d also weigh if there’s longevity

When I first transitioned to UX 10 years ago, my position had never been heard of. Do your research to see if this is the result of change and growth in the industry.
