Litigation question: plaintiff brought personal injury action in 2018. Defendants were notified that plaintiff passed away in January 2021 but plaintiff's counsel has still not filed a suggestion of death with court and does not know whether plaintiff has an estate for the case to proceed. Do tech consultants make market rates? Maybe my perception is a bit warped because I’m getting paid 85k 3.5 YOE. Jumping to industry as a software engineer and will make 165k. Are consulting companies just shafting tech folks?

I gave my various rounds of interview in Deloitte USI 2 months ago, and since then till last Friday it was showing " interview in progress" on their job portal, HR said earlier that we are interviewing other candidates. I got an offer from Amazon last week and asked Deloitte recruiter to speed up the process, i didn't get any reply on my email but now it's showing " review in progress" on the job portal. What does it mean? Shall I wait for Deloitte offer or take Amazon's offer.

Why aren’t there “large” criminal defense firms as there are with other types of law?

Has anyone successfully moved their practice to a new state? I would like to get out of Texas but criminal defense is so jurisdiction specific, even at the federal level, that I’m worried I would have a hard time building up a practice with no connections.
