I’m currently in civil litigation but I’ve always loved the criminal defense law world. Does it make sense to go to a PD office to get trial experience to get my foot back in the criminal door?

Hi all! Need a quick help! I have a 2 year work ex at ZS Associates (pharma consulting) and planning to switch to a Data Science career. I have received offer from Walmart Global Tech and BCG Gamma and not sure which one to consider. Which one would be more appropriate to kick off a career in Data Science ? AWS vs Cloudflare BDR roles

AWS lowballed but I negotiated to match Cloudflare. Cloudflare offers more equity but AWS has a higher base.

I love Cloudflare. The people are great but it’s an engineering culture and the sales team isn’t as well shaped up and I can’t go for a promotion until at least 18 months of tenure. I am an investor in the company and think of them super highly. I’ve already got half a years SDR experience and AWS promotes quicker.

AWS has prestige but is it worth it?

or

Why cant we trade UWMC right now???

I am doing a back door Roth IRA through Vanguard and while everything makes sense to me, I am unsure if an additional $6000 be invested for a non working spouse. We satisfy the criteria but two questions - 1) Is this still valid I.e., $12k can be invested for 2021? And 2) Any insight into how this is done - Vanguard doesn’t let me add more than $6k as it’s above the individual limit. I tried searching the bowl for specific answers but wasn’t successful. I’m a new associate working for a well-known defense attorney in my state. On one hand, I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn from one of the best, but he also excoriates and belittles me for my mistakes. Any advice on how much it tolerable? I am here to learn and advance my career but he can be pretty nasty. (My mistakes are no worse than you’d expect a 1st year associate to make, in case you’re all wondering if I’m a major screw-up who deserves it) I leave work feeling a foot tall.

So, how do you handle providing your client with necessary advice when you walk into court and see that Judge Hardass is presiding?
