My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

Also practice like you play, so make sure you are ALWAYS 5 or more drinks deep
You don’t have to be good to keep pace. Hit off the tee box, if you aren’t hitting it at least 100 yards forward, go drop one in the fairway at 150. If you’re not comfortable getting out of a bunker, pull it out. When everyone else is one the green, hit one more, if you don’t make it, go place one on the green. Good to practice real scenarios and that way you can be out enjoying yourself on the course. As long as you do that, you shouldn’t feel too stressed.
Everyone sucks at golf in the beginning, just enjoy the time with your friends and keep at it
Pay for a few classes to get some form down and after hit the range more. Nobody cares if you suck at the range since you’re not slowing down the group behind you
1) get lessons to get basic foundation 2) put in a lot of range time
Once 1 and 2 are done and you aren’t absolutely shitty at golf (and assuming your friends aren’t scratch), you will be fine. Not about being good at golf, more about the company you are with. At the same time, nobody wants to play with someone that takes forever
Go to golf tech and ask for some lessons
Put your pride to the side and take lessons. It’s a skill/sport you can carry with you for a long time
YouTube as well lol, like all filthy casuals spend too much time on golf YouTube and slowly but surely get from the 100’s to the 90’s
Worth doing a few lessons or if you have someone who is good and takes lessons, usually they’re enough to help you.
Also, if you’re worried about pace of play, try only hitting irons, take the old man approach by hitting shorter & straighter. Then you’ll be able to work exclusively on irons and that’ll get you from chipping to 200+ yards.
Also there’s a golf fishbowl that’s semi active with helpful people.
Take two martini's
Golf is a very technical sport. Try taking lessons and going to the range a few times a month. Think of it as a nice way to get out of the house and go for a walk
