how do you go about interviews in private equity given the deal information at your current firm is not public?

I bought a house in the suburbs of Chicago at the top of the market. I ended up moving out of state in 2017 and short-selling. I am now interviewing for a VP Accounting role with the mortgage company that got shafted by the short sale. If I get the job offer, can they/will they see this on my credit report? Can they pull the offer due to this? Should I tell them before we advance further?

As going through the interviews process as an experienced hire, do recruiters just email you with the offer or call you first and then email you details later on?

Currently a senior interested in consulting but a mix of coming from a non target and requiring sponsorship has me losing hope. Any recommendations on how to proceed with recruiting? I guess Luck matters a lot even if you perform well. There would be always someone who will do better than you.

Its been more than 2 weeks i have given my interview and cleared the levels. HR discussion is still pending and my lwd is jus a week away. When will the HR complete discussion ?

It is in appropriate to ask what the compensation for a position is after a first interview if they want you to go on three more and the interviewers on my first told me that was above their pay grade to tell me?????

Seems kind of ridiculous for a business to want to waste so much time to find out after a handful of interviews that the pay isnt aligned with my needs ......

I can see in biglaw not bringing up knowing damn well if you get an offer itll likely be high, but this is a midsize

My last interview was on Monday and I got feedback that I did not get selected because it did not seem like I was a a team player.
