One of the issues is there are so many jackasses faking it and accordingly theyre not going to tell you when youre doing a good job. We want that reassurance from seniors were supposed to “look up to”. But you gotta keep working hard and youll eventually know so much that you wont need that reassurance and youll find a certain calm confidence to look seniors in the face because nobody wanna F with you.. imposter syndrome can take you to amazing levels that others do not care to reach and once youre there, youll be so damn hot, youll probably quit and become a rapper or something 💪🏻
https://hbr.org/2016/07/everyone-suffers-from-imposter-syndrome-heres-how-to-handle-it this was a great article that helped me 👍
Speak with confidence in things you're sure about. Don't lie about things you don't know the answer to but offer to find out or provide someone they can reach out to. Like they say, fake it until you make it
Similar to kpmg2 It became less of an issue for me when I realized many of the people above me are faking it and are technically illiterate.
K2 This made me LOL 😂. Not a rapper! Yeah OP you’ll be the next Cardi B!
On a more serious note, no one knows everything, but with time you’ll learn more as you get exposed to different projects and situations. You’ll only get better!
OP, you’re in the growth zone. That’s how it should feel if you’re a somewhat new hire. It means you’re still learning a lot, faster than your brain can connect some of the dots. Keep at it, and remember that people “don’t remember what you told them, but how you made them feel”
