If they start pulling back on your duties, have you training someone else, or they seem eager to have you back up all of your work or files for "security" reasons
Very good point. If you notice that you have lsss and less work that is a sign as well.
Lack of work and underperforming probably going to be the first to go. Talk to your manager. If you have a good relationship they can hint that you may want to jump ship.
If it's your fault = you already know. If it's their fault = you might already know...
Well, if your company is experiencing financial difficulty and is making cuts, if you are given a poor performance review or told that your job is in danger, or if there are mass layoffs at your company, then you may be in danger.
Have you received several inquiries from your boss regarding poor performance? I'd think that'd probably be the most telling of signs.
Hmm its hard to tell honestly. IF you get a notification for a meetin gthat is usually a sign you might be gettin glaid off.
I've never experience this yet. But based on my observation, some of my colleagues were given notices before the lay off. The financial stability of your company might also contribute or cause lay offs.
Has anyone above you come to talk to you regarding your performance? I think it would be telling if they start putting off giving you work and start assigning them to somebody else.
This is based on my observations through the years so this may not be the case for you: one if you're no longer in the loop, two if your manager isn't communicating with you, and three if you've had a bad review.
