How do you refer to the Fair Ctedit Reporting Act? FIC-RA or F-C-R-A?

I have always used the latter in the employment law context but am starting to hear non-employment lawyers use the former.

I’ve always said fic-ra

I've probably done both but the former more often

Fic-ra is how everyone I've ever talked to pronounces it.

There’s no I in FCRA.

Typo in first line pls fix thx

It’s universally FCRA. Using a different acronym will confuse everyone familiar with this area.

I took “refer” to mean something different from a banal pronunciation. In writing, you would always want to use the industry-defined acronym of “FCRA.”
