PLI has a great tool, and is where I do all my CLEs, assuming you have access. Otherwise, a spreadsheet would work
Rising Star
Word doc with the entries and folder with PDF certs. It’s triple backed up and I do 1 CLE monthly.
I upload them to my state Portal (or the event does so) and it shows me what I have left
My state has always had a chart on its website, and while I've never been impressed with how my state bar uses its resources, apparently I've been too harsh if other states don't have that
I had the same thought and am also in a state that has a chart on its website.
Depends on your state - I have to complete CLEs for 3 states. Texas tracks it on the bar website, New York and California have self-reporting.
Obviously Texas is easy to track - I just ensure the CLE provider sends notice of my credits.
On NY and CA, I have created a spreadsheet and keep it on my desktop in a folder for each state along with all CLE certificates. I update each reporting period to ensure it’s capturing all new CLE requirements. It’s annoying but since many of my CLE credits come from conferences, I cannot rely on one single CLE provider.
Thank you! CA is my JX, so this is helpful.

Report them the day you do your CLE and you’ll never have a problem.
California seems to only let you report during the special “reporting period” (which is once every 3 years). For my other JX, I upload it daily and have no problem!
