The only tiers that matter are compensation tiers.
1. MBB
2. A&M, Alix, FTI, and other traditional T2s like S&, OW, K
3. Everybody else
4. WITCH
There are certain positions and practices where this doesn't hold, but on average, this framework is valid
FTI rates are higher than A&M but comp is lower yes
A&M is middle market, like an RSM, BDO or Alix, it’s not a T2
Ah yes, all those middle market clients such as Lehman Brothers, Revlon, and Toys R Us

Not again 🤦♂️
A&M is not a T2…

Yeah that’s a huge misconception about Alix (see Galt acquisition or anyone in PI). The majority of the work done in T2 is also more along the lines of PE ops these days, so not sure where you’re even getting this definition from. Weird how so many new grads assume strategy = best.
I appreciate all the comments on tiers.. maybe I should’ve left that bit out.. but in terms of exit opportunities to high level corp strat roles, PE etc does it open those kind of doors more than say a b4/ACN
Pro
Yes the exit ops tiers list is the same
CPI is still growing. Prob not considered T2 unlike some of A&M’s other groups.
Is there any fish who is willing to refer CPI/PEPI at A&M?
