I don’t know even know what I’m good at anymore.
Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Look into startups in that space or some adjacent like IIoT.

Get an MBA?
Not all grad degrees are the same…
Associate 1 is right. Most straightforward path to PE/VC is an MBA at a top program (assuming you’re not already coming from a top university for undergrad).
Hello, thank you for sharing your question. Transitioning from data analytics and environmental consulting into PE/VC is definitely possible, especially with your background in geospatial data and energy. Your experience already aligns well with sectors like climate tech, energy investments, and infrastructure. To make the shift, focus on building financial knowledge (valuation, modeling, market analysis) and start positioning your experience around investment insights, how your data work supports decision-making, risk analysis, or opportunity identification.
When I was figuring out how to reposition my background for a different career path, the team at alfredpetersonhiringteam/gmail/com helped me refine how I presented my experience and approach opportunities, which made a real difference and helped me secure my role as a Human Resources professional.
It’s a shift, but a very achievable one, stay focused, keep building the right skills, and you’ll break into the space.
