In my personal experience, they are metric based and use these to determine if you are going to get a raise or not. Which by the way...you come up short even when you're a good employee with outstanding metrics. They often change how they measure metrics and the claims handling process. This can make it difficult to keep up and easy to fall behind. One minute you're getting the hang of it and the next you're being told it's wrong. You often aren't allowed to set boundaries with customers. You're expected to tolerate rude behavior because "they're having a hard time". granted, an accident isn't fun by no means, but where do you draw the line? just ne prepared to work long hours and a change every 3-5 business weeks.
Sales is the same thing... Got released in Dec from Allstate after 9 years because "Productive Time" even though I was 2nd highest sales agent on the team during those months.
I used to work at Allstate as an auto liability adjuster and I absolutely loved it. They are a really great company to work for and they have a really great training program and awesome benefits.
You’re just still part of Allstate because is a good company but NOT as you described it 🥴
