My current project is discontinued by client, so I’m on bench now. Im serving notice period and only 40 days are remaining. I asked HR for early release me but they denied, saying its our policy to complete NP

Is there any possibility to get early release? Whom to I contact?

I heard that if we are on the bench for more than 2 months and if the resources management team share our profile with HR, then HR asks to share the screen and put in the registration? Is that true?

I just connected some dots and got a colleague off the bench and on some billable work. What a great feeling! 🤓

Confronted client today about partner forcing us to travel while client site has travel restrictions. As a result is team is remote next week. Counting down days till I get rolled off/fired now lol

I have been on bench since I joined the firm 3 months ago. Now I have got project but still on bench. I have got mail regarding not raising snapshots because I was on bench so i didn't do anything except trainings and some learning. I don't have hours to raise snapshot for.

What shall I do in this case? I am very much worried that if i don't have any project hours to show, will they fire me or what actions are supposed to be taken ? Thanks.

Hi Fishes, many resources who were on the bench got terminated. Not aware of exact figure,but it's huge.
This time we didn't rcv diwali gifts or bonus.
Not sure how long this termination would continue.

I'm feeling incredibly anxious and honestly depressed right now because of work. I had already been feeling demotivated and wanting to leave but I was told on Monday that I was being out on probation for one year (I am not going into detail on this). And now my manager is pressing me about finding a new project role as I have been on the bench for more than a month, and one possible one may require travel. 3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.

3. Always talk to people of team you will be joining before you accept offer or atleast before you join company.
