How is work life balance for a solution architect on delivery side?? If its bad how bad is it??

Deloitte India vs Deloitte USI.
Please answer if you have worked for both and have significant first hand experience about the difference in WLB, annual hikes, work culture, any other observations.
I see a lot in of this same discussion but very confusing and repetitive answers.
So would like people with personal experience to answer.

Obviously many of us get paid very well and there is an expectation with work demands for being paid that high. But what’s too much? How do you set a limit to preserve your mental health? I find myself guilty for taking time to decompress but I know I come back to work refocused after I do it.

Please suggest in terms of WLB, career progression, projects and overall work env. Pwc is giving WFH but not sure how long will it continue for (will it be permanent?) Do you get flexibility you need to raise a family etc. especially interested in Healthcare Pharma life science roles. Wondering if jumping ship for wlb is worth it or after a certain level wlb is non existent?

In one interview today with Kundyl. Their expectation is to be available oncall 24*7... With work from office.

They literally got offended and stared at me for asking about WLB...

Seems companies are not learning, even after the great resignations.. the big names... Like TCS, ibm.. are not doing any changes to their work culture and ethics to improve WLB.

What are some high paying career paths that an auditor can pursue? Slaved for 3 years and not even 4k, while every single one of my peers in IT are at minimum 5k with good wlb...... accountants dont seem to get paid remotely well here

Anyone have slow months where you burn through a lot of your allotted pro bono/professional development hours to keep hitting minimum daily hours? The past few weeks have been like this for me. Should I be concerned (I.e., will this reflect poorly on me, come review time? Will I have dug myself too much of a hole if I keep burning my non-billable hours?) I’ve been asking partners if I can assist in any projects so I can fill my plate, but I’ve only gotten small (4-6 hour) tasks handed my way.

How diligent is Mintz background check. When it comes to education? My references, credit, criminal and work experiences will check out. However said I already graduated school when I am in reality a month away from graduating. The company sent over the contract and start date at the same time as the background check.

Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.
