Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? My firm does upward feedback and I asked about 10 of my team to participate so that I could be a better supervisor for them. My results: I got mostly great feedback with constructive points, however along with it I received the meanest, most cold hearted criticism I’ve ever seen (con’t in comments).

During meetings, why do some people blurt out the first idiotic thing that comes to mind rather than taking a second to intelligently think through their answer?

Dear all, I want a suggestion currently working for TCS with 5 CTC in a support project with some opportunities on Devops tools. I am having an offer from a company for an senior software support profile with 15 fixed+1. My future aspirations are Devops. I have also received a counter from TCS for 12 CTC. Should I join on senior support role and then switch for Devops after preparation or should I stay back in TCS for some time and switch after preparation? In TCS my designation is system engi.
