If you don’t mind answering:
1. How many years did you practice before going solo?
2. Did any clients from your old firm follow you?
3. What area of law do you practice?
4. What was your gross revenue for year 1, year 2, and years 3?

It took about 3-4 months to become profitable.

Social media is a level playing field. Make informative posts on a weekly basis, and encourage your family members and friends to share your posts for a broader reach. Sponsor small events, and actually go to the events with your firm’s merch on. Give your business cards to people in the food and beverage industry, and leave a good tip. Small things like this have a made a difference for me.

I have a unique situation where my employer allows me to run my firm in 2 diff states hes not licensed in.
I made 95k in 6 phone calls from a case i got, another 20k from another case.
Its been 2 years thats all i got! Its hard to get referrals. I am in personal injury. I am learning you have to be the mayor of the town to get cases and that's not easy, esp if you don't want to be the mayor.
Only other way is having a good friend or family running an urgent care. Tough business, really is.
