Girl and the goat is one of my favorite Chicago restaurants
😞 that’s too bad. I haven’t been in a while, but I had two friends go more recently and say how much they loved it, so assumed it was still what I remembered!
I love momotaro!
My favorite in this bucket is Sepia. Assuming you don’t go all out with alcohol, you can get a nice meal all in for $200.
Kai Zan if you like sushi
Love Kai Zan!
Rising Star
Personally love Roister - owned by Alinea, much more casual vibe but still very cool and the food is delicious. Should be doable in this price range
So good! Sit at the bar and watch the grill
Olive Mediterranean grill
Fisk & Co. on Wacker and Wabash is also very good and has a suitable ambience for an anniversary dinner. Girl and the Goat is great as well (just ate there a few weeks ago). But getting a last-minute reservation at GATG is hard and it is loud and packed with people. Amazing food, but no intimacy for what you’re celebrating (if you care about that).
Kasama’s dinner service has a star and would be in that price range.
Yeah Kasama is a tasting menu that is at minimum $600 for 2
Not Michelin but The Purple Pig is great.
Purple Pig is great

$250 is tough to be inclusive of alcohol and at a Michelin in Chicago and also honestly a bit low too for lot of the popular non-Michelin star restaurants in Chicago as well (albeit this heavily depends on how much you’ll drink).
One of my all time favorite restaurants in Chicago is Le Colonial.
Sepia has 1 star and a tasting menu around $100 per person excluding wine.
Not Michelin star but check out the purple pig. Some excellent food there
Boka! Michelin. Should be ok if no drinks

Does that include alcohol and tip?

The only Michelin you’ll find in that budget is Galit. I can also recommend Dear Margaret
Thank you all for the excellent recommendations! Will certainly be looking into all of these 😊
Elske has a Michelin star with your budget. The desserts weren’t the best except the secret menu dessert.
