How long do you have to be at a job to ask them to put you forward for H1B/ green card from L1? How have people approached this?

My mother in law got scammed by a con artist from the UK online and lost $7K (damn you Facebook!)

Her status in the US is currently complicated and she doesn’t have a green card(tho she’s working on it), my wife(her daughter) is American.

I want to report this to the FBI’s elder fraud department but I don’t want to complicate her situation even more.

Does anyone know if criminal stuff like this and immigration related things are separated?

Anyone else got told that they don’t meet the work experience requirements for their PERM role? Have less than 2 years left on my H1B until the 6 year max and don’t know my options. Our immigration team has not been responsive or helpful.

Just sharing! Landed in offer at AWS over five weeks ago and still waiting on a visa transfer update from US CIS. Don’t want to overstay the visa either. So we applied online on eFRRO to convert his visa to X-1 so we can apply for his OCI. They didn’t ask for payment and message popped up saying watch your text/email for next steps. Anything else I can do?

Since EY Law does not provide evidence of filling for H1b, how sure can one be that the company really filed for them? With the high rate of H1b denials, I doubt EY Law really filed for everyone.
