Started this year around march I believe. I don’t think we get out of it until election and only if we get a new president. If Biden gets re-elected I think we continue because the market will take signals from that
Certainly not. But we really have no good choices among any of the candidates right now. We might have to take the war hawk Haley as the least of all the evils. Maybe. Or throw away the vote on Kennedy just to make a point.
It's hard to pinpoint the exact start date. It's more like a gradual shift. Some say it's the lingering effects of the pandemic, others blame the global economic slowdown. Been going on for like half the year.
It’s a combination of these factors and the RTO mandates are making some also want to just ship. Too many factors at play.
I’m there with you - it’s hard, but you will come out on top when the right job presents itself. Some of that is beyond your control, unfortunately
With the overall macroeconomic and the US markets improving, I foresee roles opening up. It’s been 18 months of companies holding things together while continuing to grow sales and not grow headcount in fear the markets would crash. And since they haven’t (fingers crossed they don’t in 2024), I foresee companies allocating investments towards those new and backfill roles. Remember, it’s not only what you know, it’s who you know that can get you in the door to show all that you know. Never underestimate the power of (sincere) networking.
