How long does it generally take to go from planner to senior planner if it is your first job out of college?

First year lit associate here. I had a tough time deciding between corporate and lit and chose lit because I wanted to litigate. Its only been a few months but I’m not enjoying the people or the work as it turns out (too many internal investigations and researching obscure issues, haven’t been on a single filed case yet). Does where you get your masters degree matter? I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from. Ok here’s a question. How many agencies ask their producers to do creative resource management? Enter their schedules into a large database, assign creatives to each part of the schedule, and estimate creative hours for each step. We have no creative resource manager (obviously).
