Absolutely. I was offered a salary and two weeks. I said ok on the money but can it be 3 weeks. (Time > $ for me) And they easily agreed.

Everything is negotiable, 10 seems incredibly low. I’d ask for at least 20.
In Australia it’s law to get 20 days of leave a year for full time employment (pro rata). It’s a very normal number

oh absolutely, especially at the AD/Director level.
An agency once offered me 10 days. I liked their offer but said that in regards to PTo I was at 25, and 10 wasn’t within what I was looking for. They ended up giving me 30.
it's the easiest of the benefits to negotiate.
For everybody who recommended I ask, I did and I got more no questions asked!

Woohoo, happy for you 🎉
Ask for more! I’ve asked for more every single time and gotten it no questions asked. Make it appear like that would ‘seal the deal’ and they’ll double that PTO I’ll bet, 10 is pretty abysmal.
10 is far below industry average. Most places even before the dawn of unlimited PTO would start at 12-15 for junior staff and be at 20-25 for senior staff easily. Many has seniority as a factor so you could be getting 30-35 days after 10-15 years as well.
For places without unlimited PTO everyone should be asking for 20-25 minimum these days and senior staff should be asking for 30-40.
I would say yes - that's part of the compensation package, and as such should be negotiable. What you may run into is whatever the standards/guidelines there are in the org that could make for some resistance to offering more days.
If I’m good with 20, I’d ask for 25 or 30 in case I need to compromise.
Personally, I wouldn’t start at less than 24/25
At a minimum make them match what you have
Tell them it’s not doable and you are not willing to concede what you already have. Ten days is ridiculous
