Honestly, I've had two final-round interviews over the past couple of years. I felt I performed really well in both, especially in the most recent one for the Compliance BA/PM role in NJ about three weeks ago. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard back since then. I truly believe I have the ideal skillset to help them address and mitigate those consent orders, given my background and experience.
Wishing you the best of luck—if you do hear back from them, I’d really appreciate it if you could keep me in mind and maybe help open a door for me as well.
Will do- best of luck to you as well
Citi moves very, very slowly most of the time. I’ve had job reqs I’ve applied and interviewed for take 4-6 months to close out and hire someone.
Agreed
Keep actively interviewing until you have a concrete offer in-hand. Lots of companies will keep you hanging for any number of [in]sane reasons, and none of them have anything to do with you. Until you have that FINAL approval in-hand, play along, but act as though it doesn't exist, and keep interviewing (to protect yourself, because no employer will do it for you)
Some of these organizations have been taking forever with their hiring processes. It has been an employer's market, and I suppose they feel no need to rush. Adding insult to injury, there are rumors of hiring freezes because of the trade war. Apart from the veracity of the rumors, I would imagine all the economic uncertainty may be just another reason for companies to drag their feet. In any event, stay hopeful, it could just be that things are moving slowly.
Citi has been like this for years. I applied for an internal role in Nov 2021, interviewed for it in March 22 and accepted the offer in late May 22. Unless the hiring manager pushes the req through it can take months at Citi for the hiring process.
