I just started my job in the fall but I'm curious if you have hit $100k and how long it took. No one I work with talks about pay much

At boeing in WA, most entry level engineers, despite your field, start between 78-82k. And can hit level 2 in 1-2 years which pays around 95k. We also get paid a little overtime, so for example if you work avg 4 hrs OT per week. You'll get aroumd 9k extra over a year. So, depending on OT, a couple years.

I also have a friend who works at spacex in WA, he started at 80k, and was at 100k in around 3. 5 yrs, but they get lottts of stock on top of that

What did they start you at?

It definitely depends upon your starting salary and promotions. As a civil engineer, it took me 6 to 7 years to make $100k. However, I started at $45k and had several promotions along the way.

Jumping to a current typical starting Civil Engineer salary ($65k), I still think around 5 years is a good estimate. That equals to about a 9% raise per year which is above average. To get or beat that you will need to have promotions between annual raises.

Each promotion after getting your license comes with more responsibility (Managing projects, managing staff, selling/winning projects.)

I graduated in May and started at 63k. 12.5% raise in annual review 6 months later and now at 71k. It seems that it's around 4-5 years to reach that 100k threshold assuming a consistent raise % year over year. I work in stormwater design and management in Seattle, so it might vary depending on field of civil engineering as well.

I currently working as project coordinator (on-site) for 3 months 10hrs everyday with package $75k, I want to move to remote or hybrid work but I only have 8 months of experience from my previous employer and I have completed my master's in construction management in 2021. Should I stay in my role a bit longer to gain experience or I am not able to find remote or hybrid matching my profile. Your advice and comments are much appreciated.

What is considered a “large” caseload in employment litigation? I work at a large L&E boutique law firm and handling about 14-15 active litigation cases in state/federal court or arbitration. Some of these matters are multi-plaintiff and multi-defendant cases, but none are class actions. This does not include any matters I am handling in the charge stage or in pre-litigation. Not sure if that’s a typical caseload or not?

Hello, I’m an associate (almost at the one year mark) at a midsize firm on the EPL team. I did about 2 years of employment law as a clerk during school and know that’s what I want to go into. I’ve asked for more EPL work but keep catching PI cases. I second-chaired an employment trial but don’t see any EPL work for the foreseeable future and wasn’t getting as much EPL exposure as I wanted before the trial. Any advice on a lateral move to a bigger firm with a broader range of EPL work?
