Base comp should start at $120k if you want someone at least semi competent
In public, senior range in core tax is roughly 95-115k. However, you'd need to pay a price premium to get them to move over.

95-110 if you want some random run of the mill person. 120+ if you want actually talented people and not just a body.
I'm an S1 recently hired in NYC, comp is 115k. 1 yoe as senior, 2.5 years total
