I just got an offer from Accenture for SM role in Finance & Risk in NY. Base of $230k, $20k signing bonus and $18k equity. Is this aligned with avg pay? How much higher can you typically negotiate?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate.
